Project SALUTE

Project SALUTE is 3-year professional development program supported by the US Department of Education through an American History and Civics National Activities Grant awarded to National Performance in Education.

This program provides educators in North Carolina and South Carolina transformational opportunities for professional growth, on site experiential learning at key historical sites in the United States, and evidence-based professional development to improve social studies, literacy, and classroom management skills.

Through partnerships with the Bob and Marion Wilson Teacher Institute, Gilder Lehrman Institutes, KAGAN, and a team of national consultants, participants can earn a stipend through an innovative design that allows educators the freedom to choose which activities best meet their needs and schedules.
